Washburn & Doughty Associates, Inc. is currently designing and building two 93’ x 38’ Hybrid Z Drive Tugs for Harbor Docking and Towing of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The 93’ x 38’ hull is a proven design with eighteen tugs in operation and four under construction. The 93’ tug’s wide bow provides an excellent point of contact and a “window” skeg is incorporated to maximize steering and braking forces. Off-ship firefighting meets FiFi 1 requirements related to water output.
